We Love ice cream…
So much so that we decided to make it our business! Milsom & Cox Helados is a mother and daughter team, based near Presteigne in Mid Wales. Helados simply means ice creams in Spanish – we used to live in Ecuador.

We love local…
Our traditional ice cream tricycle is easily manoeuvred and surprisingly nippy to ride. There’s always so much going on in Radnorshire and over the border into Herefordshire that we don’t need to go far for a fabulous day out. If it’s uphill or a bit far to pedal, we hitch up our customised trailer and hit the road.
The tricycle has a mighty battery-operated freezer on the front which can stay icy for 10 hours once fully charged. This means the trike can be sited more flexibly than many bigger units and there’s no need for a plug socket. Perfect for pop-ups at fetes, fairs and festivals!
We love Shepherds…
We are delighted to be serving the original sheep’s milk ice cream, made on the Herefordshire/Wales border since 1987. If you know the borders, you’ll know that Shepherds is something of an institution round here. Founders Juliet Noble and Martin Orbach explain their process …
“Sheep’s milk is exceptionally high in solids which means, uniquely, that we make our ice-cream using just the full fat milk. The result is proper smooth, creamy dairy ice cream, but with half the fat. This low fat ice cream, made in small batches, and churned slowly is most akin to Italian Gelato.”
